About us
Faith, compassion, inclusion, justice
Holy Trinity is an Anglican Church, which aspires to be a compassionate and inclusive faith community, regardless of race, sexuality, or gender. Over many years, our life has been greatly enriched by our first peoples, both Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders.
So, we welcome diversity and new thinking. We are open to change and the wisdom of others. For us, thinking, debate, and diversity are signs of a vibrant spirituality. We are not perfect, but we are seeking to be faithful, cultivating mutual trust and transparency, working together for justice in the Church and the world.
Since 1856, Holy Trinity has been worshipping, working, and serving in the Valley. As such, our Church is in the catholic tradition of Anglicanism, which is grounded in the mystery of God’s love, honouring a rich sacramental, liturgical, and musical tradition. The church was constructed in 1876/77. The hall and rectory replaced earlier buildings in 1891/1892.
We are committed to the safety and well-being of children, young people, and vulnerable people, through active compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures of the Anglican Church Southern Queensland.
