While singing and playing, children develop their concentration, increase their confidence, have fun and awaken a love of music, rhythm and rhyme.
At Trinity Tots Music Box carers have fun interacting with their children and enjoy meeting other parents.
The program is held weekly during school terms from 9:30 - 11:00 am Wednesdays in the Hall, Holy Trinity Fortitude Valley, Church Street.

Benefits of music
New in the toy box
Many grateful thanks to Solange who put new elastic on our (very stretched) butterfly wings.
Lou has found three wonderful pedal-cars - Motorama here we come! Our drivers are very skilled - turn on a sixpence, and are adept at avoiding pedestrian toes. And, all are learning to share. Graciously.
A generous grant from New Farm Rotary has financed the purchase of easels, bright green smocks, short-handled brushes, rolls of paper and LOTS of paint!!
Volunteers Anne and David Agnew bravely entered the realm of IKEA construction, and made us a beautiful kitchen, complete with pots and pans, a mini-car garage to house our tiny-car collection, and a circus tent from Lou. The unveiling met with great delight, and was followed by some enormously enthusiastic play.
Thank you, Lou, Anne and David!!
The beautifully sturdy garage including petrol bowsers from David's 84 year-old colleague at the Men's Shed continues to delight.
Thank you, Zonta for your wonderfully generous gift.
It will enable us to maintain our music program for the year.

What does it cost?
Trinity Tots Music Box is for the community.
We are looking for funding from generous sponsors so that we can maintain a high standard of delivery. In term four, we are asking parents for a $20 donation to cover costs for one 10-week term.
How to join
All parents need to fill in a registration form, and will sign-in at the start of each session. Music Box supplies fruit and chilled water for morning fruit time, and coffee or tea for parents and carers.
Session numbers are limited, so booking is essential.
How is the session structured? Each parent or carer signs in. Mobile phones are tucked away until going home time. The session starts with sign-in (select your own nametag and sticker) and dressing-up with hats, leis and butterfly wings and gentle playtime, followed by children AND carers singing and playing in music-based activities. After half an hour there is a well-earned sit-down morning fruit time for children, and coffee for carers. This is followed by free play with all the toys in the collection, and special craft activities until going-home time at 11.00 am. While all activities are under the watchful eye of volunteers; parents and carers are always responsible for the children in their care.
Become a Music Box volunteer
